Dua for Forgetfulness – Forgetfulness is a natural part of being human. But in moments when it becomes challenging, turning to Allah for help brings clarity and ease. Allah is Al-‘Aleem (The All-Knowing) and Al-Hakeem (The Wise), and through sincere dua, He provides guidance and sharpens our memory. A powerful supplication for overcoming forgetfulness is:
“Allahumma inni as’aluka ilman nafi’an wa rizqan tayyiban wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan”
(O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds).
Additionally, reciting “Rabbi zidni ilma” (O my Lord, increase me in knowledge – Surah Taha: 20:114) regularly helps strengthen memory and focus. Alongside dua, staying consistent in dhikr, maintaining a healthy routine, and avoiding distractions improve retention and understanding.
